John McKee joined Glaucon Capital Partners in 2023 and has more than 30 years of combined experience in commercial banking and operating and financial consulting. John was a commercial lender in the Houston market from 1993 to 2018, working with owners of small to medium-sized privately held companies. He left commercial banking in 2018 to start his own Houston-based consulting firm, primarily working with business owners to increase the value of their companies and plan for their eventual exits.
John is from Tyler, Texas, but has lived in Houston since 1993. He and his wife have two sons. John graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree in finance and a concentration in accounting. John formerly served as treasurer and board member at First Presbyterian Church. He is currently an active member of Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church. John is an Eagle Scout and is active as an adult leader in Boy Scouts.
John holds certifications in exit planning (CExP) from Business Enterprise Institute, Inc. and Leadership Coaching from the Doerr Institute for Leadership at Rice University.
